German Police Cap Visor Insignia
stopped by a spot I hunt when I only have a few minutes....3 old house sites that are now gone...chicken plant across the street owns the property now....never really found anything good ther 1 merc 2 wheats and a war nickel is all I have ever found in this spot....had a few minutes today after work so I hunted for bout half an hour....found a memorial penny, shotgun shell berass, part of an old temp guade form a car and the best find for me so far this year......this WW2 era German police hat visor insignia.....wasn't sure what it was at first it was so balled up and crusty...saw the top left wing sticking out and started field cleaning with spit and my fingers lol....got far enough with it to see the Swastika...decided right then it was time to go home...did some more cleaning (stopped when some finish started flaking off) and research and there ya have it....it had both pins on the back but my son tried to straighten them out before I could stop him lol

Re: German Police Cap Visor Insignia
There has always been a large German population around Cullman, so it doesn't surprise me.
Relic hunting consists of a series of misadventures interspersed by occasional moments of glory.
