Detectors laying on their side usually don't pick up much of anything. :laughing9: :headbang:

did you put Batterys in it & Turn it on ? ?

Sorry couldn't resist.
I know this isn't a laughing Matter

Need more Info.

a roll of pennies
should sound off no matter
what disc. setting
if you have it set right and
the wire connected.

at this point it sounds like
a detector problem.

Good One..... :laughing7:

However as Jeff said if your detector isn't picking up the pennies even close to the coil you have a problem. Make sure all the batteries are installed properly. Simple, but I've even done it.

With a roll of pennies, could it give a overload signal?? ???

Some possibilities are your headphones, or detector speaker isn't working or cable into the control box has lost connection. Also, is that detector man. ground balance? You can balance a detector bad enough to actually not detect a silver dollar.

It was a Teroso I tried it on. Was pretty surprised it wouldn't pick it up.

Another probable explanation is the cents you're speaking about have a steel core (electro-plated coins).

Just like the eurocents, I think the UK pennies too, and the Aud cents if I'm right.

Anyway, if your roll reacts to a magnet and your 305 is in an iron rejecting pattern, you won't detect them cents at all !

Be careful with these coins, they can mask a whole bunch with higher value coins too.
