Yes you can have different coils installed on the Excal. If you are handy with tools you can do it with the proper waterproof connectors. Other's have done this but I haven't. A WOT coil is called that cause it is a Wonderful Orange Thing. It is 15 inches across and made by Sunray.

The Wot coil is made by Coiltek not Sunray!
Be careful when changing coils on an Excalibur.Where are you using your machine? A big wot coil is a great coil but if you are in water with any current eg surf beaches you will be struggling fighting the extra drag the bigger coil will produce. Be careful with any aftermarket coil lead connectors, some are not very good and will leak, and can do major damage to the circuitry of the machine. Also a bigger coil generally doesnt add much depth to your machine its main advantage is covering a bigger area per sweep. You will also find a bigger coil is more prone to interference and you might have to turn your sensitivity down to compensate for this but in doing so you will lose the minor depth advantage it had over the standard coil. seeya Neilo
