Is the coinsearch coil compatible on the new Sovereign GT?

Yes, it is compatible with the GT. Some long time sovereign users swear by this coil, it's not waterproof though!!

You should test it before use. One batch that were "found" in the States and sold on didn't work well and they should be better than the coils Minelab switched to. The other worry is if it has been used in water. Rain or a quick dunk is O.K. but if the previous owner has been pushing the coil down under water then the damage could have been done and you won't know until the corrosion gets to a certain point.
Another thing to consider is will it work as well as it did with the original Sovereign design. With my old Sovereign I like the 12" Sunray coil but it doesn't seem as hot on the GT for some reason.
