As I prep to get my excal I'm wondering if its worth getting after market headphones? Any opinions?

They're stock headphones are hardwired and if you're buying a new detector, I would wait until 1 year warranty runs out. Most people report the waterproof Grey Ghost to be the best option for aftermarket headphones.

Any mod work will void warranty of new excal detector. Do as fletch says and wait till warranty expires....

Like the Boys said, keep it stock as long as the warranty is in affect, the stock yellows are not to bad. Once out I would go for the The New Gray Ghost Amphibians. 48% Louder then the Old GGUW's. I make a setup for them if needed, but will not be till winter when I restart.
