I enjoy that myself, but to be fair, the PI detectors have their place in beach hunting. They're slightly better in depth and with small gold chains (in most cases).

I do agree ....but the amount of iron out there really pisses me off!

I know what you mean. Some beaches are terrible and getting worse when it comes to iron targets. It used to be that much of the iron was detected, dug up, and thrown away. With today's detectors, you can ignore the iron so it never get removed from the sand. Since new iron is getting dropped every day, it's starting to get bad in some areas. Eventually, the iron stuff will rust away but I think the new iron is being dropped faster than the old iron can dissolve.
