Hi out of these 2 metal detectors do you think
would come out on top in a battle of MD's.

MINELAB X-Terra 70 or WHITES MXT E-series

Im looking for a detector which can be used to
hunt COINS, RELICS, JEWLERY, BEACH must
have manual ground balance, target ID, tone ID,
and show the Vdi #'s of said item. Must be able
too operate in Black Sand at a beach too.

And it must have a button which can be pushed
to reject certain Vdi #'s like it can be done on the
X-terra 70

GET A USED EXPLORER . YOU CAN PICK UP AN XS WITH SUNRAY PROBE IN THE $500-$600 RANGE. THE EXPLORERS GIVE YOU A TON OF TARGET INFO, ONE OF THE BEST AT THE BEACH AND FOR WHAT YOU WOULD SPEND ON AN X-TERRRA YOU COULD FIND AN EX 11. ALL THE EXPLORERS ARE DEEP AND WITH THE MULTPLE FREQS CAN HANDLE ANY SITUATION.SO SAVE SOME CASH AND GET WHAT I CONSIDER THE BEST ALL AROUND DETECTOR...THE EXPLORER HH JB

I agree. If stability at the beach is a factor you should opt for one of the BBS style minelabs which the xterra series is not.
