A recent newspaper article in the Jackson paper tells that a new sports complex is to be built in the city of Vicksburg. It will have at least 3 softball fields.
Why is this of interest of MDers? All of the present area of the city was well involved in the fighting during the Siege, but the Military Park does not cover it all. Find out where the construction site is to be located, and work with the contractor to search the area to be cut and filled.
