Favorite sleeper movie

Ok I have many favorite movies. But I would like to list one movie that not only surprised me but its certainly a movie that I like to watch atleast once a year.

I was surprised by this because I really don't like the main actor much at all. I am not very much on drama's that are supposed to have comedy, especially those in the sci-fi horror catagory. Apparantely I am not the only one to enjoy this because after being a huge flop on the screen it became on of the best renting video's of all time.

The Frightners Michael J. Fox. Only show of his I like.

If you have not seen it yet perhaps you should give it a gaze. It's certainly the best sleeper I have seen. One of those deals where you don't want to just rent one video for 2 days and nothing else appeals to you. Of course I actually got this one on rent one get one free day.

Give her a view if you have not. THink you will like it.

8) I agree w/ Postal, We all have our list of Fave Movies, but there is always a Sleeper that we enjoy.

In my case it's The Temptations, about the history of the Motown Group. They show it exclusively on VH1 every so often.

The acting is top notch, it's a little long (4 hrs), but well worth the time.

Ever be flipping through channels and there is that one stupid show that no matter how many times you have seen it...you have to stop and watch it some more....and its always the dumbest shows....
Seems Like I always find the same two....Tremors and To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar ....Both retarded .,...but I always stop and start watching....hahahahahah :D :D

Re: Favorite movies

True Grit (liked the humor, the perseverence, the scenery...the acting wasn't bad, either!!)

The Cowboys (liked the complex character played by John Wayne)

How the West Was Won (liked the history, the generational theme)

Tremors (especially the guy with all the guns)

Tombstone (Kurt Russell was great!)

National Treasure (the history lessons, the way Nicholas Cage played his character, and the treasure -- all were great)

Re: Favorite movies

Lots of great sleepers in there.

And yes Gypsy the show that I always watch over and over that is probably goofy to most

Columbo

Don't know why I always watch those movies over and over.

Pretty well like most all Clint Eastwood too.

Oops, I deleted my earlier post, as I (as usual) neglected to read what it was I was supposed to be talking about. I think "Party Animal" never got the recognition it deserved... low budget flick, but dang funny.

I am certainly glad I started this post. You all have reminded me of some great sleepers I have not seen in a long while. Plus as a bonus a pretty sizable list of movies to watch that I have never seen before.

TY keep em coming all. We all get bored at times for sure. Times when we can't MD. Most of us have seen most all movies that make the top lists, but not the sleepers. Pretty cool to see all the prespectives on so many movies that have always been a ... umm well maybe.. nah will rent this one.

Groundhog Day with Bill Murray. I don't know if you would consider it a sleeper or not. But I love that movie.

I heard that there's a new tv series on TV with the same premise. About a man who wakes up and it's always the same day. His girlfriend dies at the end of the show every week. He has to try to figure out how to change the future. Does anyone know the name of the series and what network it's on.
