Relic Hunting
Re: Me and my two loves
Was your wife upset when you told her she had to go?
Just kidding, love the car man!
I love hunting old relic sites . . . as I feel
the imprint of past lives often linger there.
I view relic sites as windows to the past, sacred places
in a way, yet at the same time attesting to the reality
that the past is still very much a part of our today!
I had to keep the wife. She is a matching numbers Georgia Peach. The 65 GTO was a clone. It started out as a 6-cylinder Tempest. When I sold it it had a 455 with a four speed and posi-traction in it.
Here is a picture of the 65 just before I sold it and a couple of the 67 GTO convertible I am currently restoring. This one is a true GTO.
I'm a bit of a classic restorer myself. My latest project is a very low numbered 1964 1/2 mustang. only 121,000 1964 1/2 were made between March 9 and August 31 and less than 5,000 of those were made at the San Jose factory. Mine is a R code(San Jose) and the 369th stang built which was probably on the first day.
Current: Exp. E-Trac, AT Pro, DFX
Past few years: XP Deus, V3i, MXT, XLT, Eagle Spectrum, X-Terra 70, SE Pro, Sovereign GT, F4, F75 LTD, MH CXIII, ACE 250, Omega 8000

I had a 64 1/2 about 15 years ago. It was in rough shape but ran. Like all my other cars I sold it. One of these days I am going to keep one!
Downright freaking gorgeous ! (and your wife looks like a nice lady too )
My 1st love was a '64 Catalina 2 Dr.
Dad gave me the keys at 15 and told me if I wanted to be driving it at 16, I'd best get started rebuilding her engine.
"There's the tools. Here's the Chilton's manual. If you get in trouble, let me know"
Had 'er rebuilt and running AND the body completely redone as well.
Loved those lines

Yup. The end of a way of life. Too bad. It's a good way. Wagons forward! Yo!
