There are literally 1,000's of one hit wonders, but some bands should have gotten a bit more success.

I was going to post Vanity Fair "Hitching A Ride", but it was too painful to post :laughing7: It was 1970 and I was staff for a Boy Scout Camp, TMR for my second year. We used to get to towns by hitching and one night in the pouring rain, no ride. We walked about 4 miles until we hit a bar outside of Monticello and the patrons played that song in honor of our dripping wet butts :laughing7: We did luck out and get a ride later that night to camp. I guess they felt sorry for us wet rats.

I always liked this song from the "One hit wonder" band Alive and Kicking. Note, this is how they look now. The music is the original track played over the video.

I wouldn't really call Mountain a 1 hit wonder, they had a strong influence on the development of heavy metal music in the 1970s.....

pat-tekker-cat I think 99% of the 80's bands were 1 hit wonders.. I never was able to listen to glam bands for too long... OK, I digress, I did like Culture Club until I found out the singer was Boy George... Even looking back at the videos are we sure that is a guy :icon_scratch:

Now, these guys are one of my ALL TIME favorites.
This little cheesy song, I guess they had to make for the radio, but these guys, so rocked, in their day!
They still do on my Sony turntable(the neighborhood can tell ya). :headbang: :headbang:
Can you say Young and Rich? Yeah!, The Tubes LIVE!
They may deserve a post in most under-appreciated section! :hello2:

Ok, this is a first, the preview says it's there and shows it, who disabled my embedding capability? Maybe the source scrambled it, this is kinda weird? But, as with the Tubes, some things ya see, should make ya wanna poke your eyeballs out! LOL! Say WPOD live
