I saw Lita and Bon Jovi at Ramstein AB, Germany, in 1988. They set up and played for us GIs in one of the hangers to thank us for the work we did with the flugtag disaster. I nev er been the same since that crash happened, but Lita and Jon were pretty good to us. A free concert helped.

Lita, along with Ann and Nancy Wilson will always be my rock queens. None will measure up to these three in my humble opinion.

Ok, I've listened to, at least some of, each and every one of the songs that have been posted here. A couple of them are --ummm--ok in my ears. lol But, there are not any that really 'rock' me. I'm more into women like Wanda Jackson! Is she in the category that you are talking about? Maybe I'm not thinking about the same era or the right type of music. Of course there's Linda Gayle Lewis also; Jerry Lee Lewis's sister. I didn't really care for a lot of her songs; but I thought I'd mention her name also. There are several others also that I can't recall their names at the moment; but there are a lot of 'older' women 'rockers'.

Had "First Base" on vinyl years ago.

Here's the babe.......

Even though this was remixed by a ton of people, NOTHING will ever beat the original.....

That song was way ahead of it's time.

Nice thread!

Women rock!

Always like this song......

I remembered how confused I was as a young lad with these lyrics.....

Things are a little more open these days!

Yep, that's Wanda. I used to have an album of hers, 'The Two Sides of Wanda Jackson'. One side was rock and the other was country. When I say I used to have it, I mean that I literally wore that piece of vinyl out.
Ah, Miss Janus. Yes, she was one of the greats!
