I recently posted this in another forum ...some of you may have already seen it....

Several yrs ago i was hunting a CW camp and found this. It wasn't deep at all ...just under the leaves.

I almost discarded it thinking it was a piece of broken shovel or a piece of metal drum or something. But then it dawned on me, when i put it against my body and it conformed perfectly , that it might be a piece of body armor.

6 months later i returned to that camp and found this smaller piece of metal with a brass rivet in the upper right corner. Ordinarilly I would probably have discarded both pieces as trash.

Imagine my surprise when i got home and put the pieces together . Notice the bullet hole in the shoulder area and the large bullet damage in the stomach area. it cracked between the 2 bullet holes

I wouldn't want to test armor.... But then again, if someone was shooting at me I would hide under a # 2 wash tub if I had to. ;D Good luck on finding the armor. zztop
