I found this buckle at a state park in RI. It was about 10 inches deep, I was very surprised to find it under an old oak tree. As you can see its not in great shape but still its American history, at its best. It still has its hooks on the backside.

Was it legal to detect at that state park? Many state parks do not allow detecting. Cool find!
