    Best find.. then lost

My best find was a Lewis and Clark Exposition one dollar gold coin.. I found it next to a set of train tracks in the tideflats of Tacoma.. found out later the sewer crew had been dumping thier tailings there for years.

Had it appriaised at $1500 in 1983, and put it in the binder of a Teachers Edition Bible I had found that was copywrited 1912 for safekeeping (found that in the wall of a house I tore down in Eatonville). Then about 5 years later my wife sold the bible at a yard sale.. I am still whimpering and looking for that book at yard sales.

I don't have the pictures but this http://www.usrarecoininvestments.com...ewis-clark.htm will show it.

I am returning to detecting after a 13 year lay off. need to get out of the house more and do somethign I enjoy..

    Cheers!
