Hello all!

I have decided to start this thread in order for you all to share your best finds that you found on top of the ground. Can't wait to see what you post.

I have one of my own. A few years back, I found a clump of metal on beach (Coin Beach). As curious as I am, I took it home with me. After it sat on my front porch for a few weeks, I took it down to the Shipwreck Museum in Fenwick Island, DE, and asked the man to clean it for me. All you Slower Lower Delawareans should know where both those places are. Well, it turns out that in that clump of metal was an old spoon, a flower drawer pull, and two flat buttons. It was found on the beach in the general location of the Irish shipwreck "The Faithful Steward," which sank in the 1780s. I still have what I have, but at the time I didn't truly know the historical value of them. I hope to your top-ground treasures soon!

How about top of ground underwater? 1200.00 in 100.00 bills folded over. I came across them diving and was completely shocked there were 12 of them. The fish ate the edges of a few but all were spendable.

I found a nice heavy 14k gold ring as a ground score. I was beach combing for agate, and there it was!

Harvested and cut corn field. It was just under a loose husk, laying right on top. It gave a strange, trashy sounding shallow tone. I kicked the corn husk aside and there it was.

I found a 1911 nickel on a dirt road, $300 cash in Kmart, and a silver Rosie at a swimming hole....sorry no pics.

Even registered the cash with lost and found (didn't list amount), nobody inquired.

a sample handful

Every now and then when I'm feeling down I head outside and look at the ground. I may find a little of something fun from the past or a story told from an ancient artifact, a silver dime stuck in a crack and a tiny piece of ass that some may think was better then that. Yeah! life at times can be a bit of a muck, I'll just head outside in search of some luck.

Folks,

No pictures, however, on my daily walks I've found everything from cellphones, bracelets, earrings, rings, pendants, etc and the fair amount of clad.

I found my shipwreck concretion partially exposed as well!- def my favorite find. I've also found a 14k pendant, 18k earring, 10k earring, a 10k ring, an Indianhead penny, a silver bracelet, fossils, old bottles and a lot of native artifacts as well. I eyeball a lot since I had to sell my detector.
