A good days digs

These are some treasures from an old foundation in southern Genessee County...MI. The Barber was the first good signal I picked up and the only coin that I found at this site.The badge is a 1920 MI chauffers liscence that was laying practically on the surface.The ring is a mans 14k with a 1/4ct diamond! (very heavy).I almost missed the ring.I had dug out a plug and swept the hole still getting the same signal.After pulling up an old copper grommet, I was replacing the plug when the ring fell out.....WHOALY SCHMIDT!! There was a bottle dig nearby and I couldnt help but wonder if the ring hadnt been lost by a fellow treasure hunter.Wouldnt that be ironic?!

Nice digs dude, nice Ring, and that chauffers badge is worth some dinero. I dug a beautiful 1927 Oregon Chauffers awhile back and got $145.00 for it........HH

Lonewolfe....Im just south of BirchRun(Genessee Couty) and Ive got another place up in Houghton Lake.I try to get a little dig time in both areas.Old foundatios and a couple of small beaches downstate.Lumber camps and wading in the lake up north.....Jo

Boy those are great finds. That ring looks like one I used to own untill we were broken into about 15 years ago. I think the style is fairly common. Nice finds though. HH

Do/did you know Doyle?

He had a detector shop rgt off of the Dixie hwy there in Birch run.

I use to buy/sell/swap with him back in the late 80s/early 90s

I would have thought Doyle would have hunted out that entire county out of all goodies, and all surronding long ago!
