Found these two gems at an old foundation near my home. The home that once sat there must have burnt as these and other items I found have obvious heat/fire damage.The half is an 1876 and has a triangular hole in it.Maybe from an old soldering iron?I believe the buckle dates around 1855. Great finds but a little less character would have been nice.
I'm new and I can't wait to go searching around old property. I bet you wish your finds were in better condition but cool finds either way! the coin looks like someone used a nail to punch that hole in it. What state are you in if you don't mind me asking?
