After several weeks of absence from the backyard herd, one of the tough guys showed up in the backyard with a broken antler and bloodshot eyes.
Since he is built like an NFL lineman and goes about 200 lbs....I would hate to see the other guy!

Granny,

The other big bucks in my herd always show this guy some serious respect and although most of them show some signs
of fighting, most have lost only one or two small points from their racks. This boy is so bad that I am beginning to suspect he might have
lost the portion of his antler in the grill of a Hummer he was pushing out of his way.

Rick, He still is really a handsome critter I wish we lived where they would come up to me like that there is a church here across from the hospital that they mill about but as close as you can get is maybe 25 feet they dont run they just stand there with the babies and eat but, no bucks. It is a heavy residential area where they know they are safe and every few weeks on the main business street there (this is the highest traffic area) one get hit a couple of monthes ago there were 2 one in a yard and one in the street that had been hit.
They are just so pretty to watch!

Great pics. I wish I had neighbors like him. I would love to know the whole story behind the lost antler too.
