I just wanted to share this with you. It is a spot near one of the last "skirmishes" of the civil war battle occurred here in NC. Note the two graves of the unfortunate soldiers. (Stonemans Raid)
THAT PLACE LOOKS GREAT , THE MARKER APPEARS TO BE A HEAD AND FOOT STONE ALIGNEING THE TORSO OF THE BODY. THE HILL SIDE WOULD HAVE BEEN HELL TO RALLY UP TOWARD WERE ARE STANDING. PICS ARE GOOD..
KEEP'EM COME'IN.....
Hello,
Nice to see that the place is marked to show what happened there. Boy! There it must be awful damp there considering all that moss on the rocks and trees.
Pictures look awesome! I wonder how old the little shack is by the creek and the stone wall next to it. N.C. has some beautiful waterfalls all over the place. When I was stationed at Fort Bragg me and some buddies would go hiking out in the mountains all over N.C. At that time I wasn't even thinking on looking for treasure, or MDing as I did not get into it until last year.
