' Odd Twisted Vine '

While Okiepackrat & I were 'out & about' today, we found this really odd twisted vine, after him holding the main vine, I stood up about three feet on it & cut this one down.
It had climbed a large rotten pine tree which was about to fall anyway, so I thought I would make something out of it.
It had forked at one point, then the left fork took a right angle, then went up & twisted around itself. :tard:

I think any real treasure hunter would have brought that home Fossis. I love it! Have you decided what you are going to make with it yet?

P.S. I think someone left their wallet leaning against the tree.

I haven't decided yet, gotta let it dry, & repair any cracks.
That's my 'camera case' for size comparison. ;D

Mother Nature at her best. ;D I love twisted vines like this and cut quite a few myself. I can't think of the name of that vine (greenish color all year round), I want to say it has thorns? We have those things here too. I keep em in a dry area till they're good & dry, leave natural or put a clear coat of poly to protect it more.

 RR

These don't have thorns, they are smooth, & I have heard them called 'Rattan', but don't know.
When they dry, they turn light brown, I put the 'poly' on them to give more brightness.
