I heard on the radio last week, that bureau of land management, had a wild horse auction recently.
they reported that out of 300 head, only three sold, for a total of 750.00.
normally they sell out and average 400.00 per head

Hello,

Good shots. I like the Pintos, especially the top one. He has some nice markings.

Thanks for sharing

Ray

I live in Mohave County AZ and have seen a sudden disinterest in horses . I personally know a bunch of folks that are looking to shed themselves of their stock . One family has 5 horses and is down to 3 options . Sell , if no one buys then give away . If no one takes them it's GIDYUP GET OUT OF HERE . The folks here claim that a full grown horse eats 2 bales a week . Hay is $12.75 a bale at the cheapest . Factor in the farrier if you ride and the vet now and then they become expensive lawn ornaments . Those that board charge $90 a month and YOU buy the feed . It seems everything larger than a goldfish is on the short list to GO!

They are beautiful animals! I really do wish I could adopt some I've wanted to go and get some ever since I was kid but no where to put them except board and the decent places here cost so much and some middlin ones you got to drive to far plus you have to do all the feed I went during some bad weather to feed for some people and the food you buy no way to lock it so its on an honor system and then after you muck the stall you had to wheel barrel it quite a distance I wonder what the $ went for a stall in a barn that was full of holes?
