Awesome wreath judie! I have been to the boat parade on the Amite someplace over there by French Settlement. Is that the one your refering to?
Here are some more pictures. Some of the floats etc. In a way I would like to be in New Orleans for the big ones Tuesday. But by the same token I dont have the energy to fight it. LOL Happy Fat Tuesday everyone!

Wow that is alot of beads ! I'd like to get one with the mask! That one is pretty ! I have seen one with little gators on it I thought was pretty too!

Gosh, that gal must have at least 50+more lbs of beads on her. Looks like a grand parade in Baton Rouge, thanks for the pics.

Shane, you may be talking of Berthelot's on Amite River @ Port Vincent or Fred's on Amite River or Canal Bank on the Diversion Canal...both are near French Settlement. But, I don't ever recall any boat parades there. Then again, if you came up French Settlement way over to Maurepas, Head of Island on up Hwy 22 to the Krewe of Wrecks Parade...that's the country back roads to get there.
