Re: Where's The Beaver???

Isn't just amazing what those little beavers can do when left alone for a while? When I was a kid, one of the places we lived in had a large dam out in back with an open field. We could almost see it from the house. I used to have fun watching them whenever I could get close enough without them seeing me first.

Re: Where's The Beaver???

I would be forced to destroy the dam and exterminate with extreme prejudice any Beaver that takes up on my property. They ruin everything they touch, giant rats that eat trees at night. Scary.

Nice pictures though. I like the one of the dam and the lodge entrance. The last one I dealt with looked remarkably similar.

Careful that one tree doesn't fall on you Granny. :D They sure can build up a dam quick now can't they. Keep watching you'll catch 'em in the act.

Bust a hole in the middle of their dam and let the water run out. Make sure it's noisy.
Then get a chair about dark and you'll see them.

Re: Where's The Beaver???

The little dam is right up by the road like about 5 foot away! Behind the trees ( the one where the small branches are in front on pic) Behind that is a biiiiiiig dam!
The big tree thats about ready to go its aways from the road (dont know who owns) so was not on property but, up on road and it also is across the creek and trees on road side so when it goes its gonna take some doin to get it clear down! I look everytime we go out there to see how much more they've chewed! ;D But I dont know where the dam is :icon_scratch: The creeks not deep lookin and from where we can see up and down no dam! I think dam washed away with them?

Re: Where's The Beaver???

It is 2 different spots. Not a bad drive The BIG tree one is where I think they may be gone, The other one I saw for the first time this weekend (a spot I've not been to before) It looks real promising to see one .... or more ;D!
