Spending the afternoon at "The Sand Bar"

A friend of mine called me up and wanted to know if I was available to go out to the sand bar with his Minelab to do some underwater detecting. Heck yeah! :icon_thumleft:
Well we found two bottle caps but that didn't matter. Still had a great time in the sun with friends. We're planning on going back this week when it's not as busy to try again.

The Sand Bar is a local hot spot just inside the channel enterence of Sodus Bay, depth is 3-4ft and boats anchor their all day to hang out.

The Sand Bar, Sodus Point, NY
Air temp 82 degrees
Water temp 77 degrees

Cell phone pics, not greatest quality...

:laughing7: It's always fun to wave to your friends... Right before you try to drown them on the tube! :laughing7:

It's great that they want to just hang out with each other all day; keeps 'em out of the good fishing ground! ;D Saw a place at Lake Havasu that was the same way. All the younger crowd congregates at the same place to get drunk and lose all their "bling" in the drink. (pic attached)Then they go run daddy's boats into each other. The problem with the lake I like to fish is the summer crowd comes out with their kneeboards and jetskis and cling to the shoreline with their antics. They want to make sure someone on shore gets impressed with their skill. Problem is, that's normally where the good fishing is. Wish they could find one spot on the lake here where they would hang out and just impress each other.
