Me Mum's Mums

Through the years of admiring my mothers mums, everytime I visit her, she sends me home with some flower seeds, cuttings from some of he prized bushes and shrubs, herbs, and anything else I liked in her flower gardens. A couple years ago when she split her mums up, she gave me some, and these are the results of my efforts of keeping them alive. These are called "cushion mums" they grow close to the ground and are sorta compact. Enjoy............NGE

Re: Me Mum's Mums

Last week we had a wind storm of sorts, gusts up to 60mph, sustained winds 35 to 45mph. Old Glory didn't fare too well, for the most part, she was hung at about a 35 degree angle, maybe that was the cause of her demise. I took this pic before she was removed to proper disposal by burial........NGE Also here is a pic of another goodie from mom's garden, now in mine. It's called a seedum.

Good pics, nge. You ought to get some of them printed up and framed real pretty and give them to your mom, so she can look at them year round. I think I may hi-jack one or two of those pics and play with them, then get it back to you.

Oh your originals are great. Even Maria is over here sayin she likes the more natural photos better. But I just like to alter the perception, for lack of somethin better to do.

Re: Me Mum's Mums

Hey NGE Nice pics. My mum also grows Seedum. Ever noticed the ants love them. They actually help pollinate by walking across the tops of the Seedum plants.

Not so many ants on ours, but we do have all kinds of bees and wasps, and finches who make regular visits to them. The flowers that we do get lots of ants on, are the peonies............NGE

Re: Me Mum's Mums

Hello, NGE, We got some of that wind here too but not near as bad as what you did. I saw some of the damage on
channel 4 news. That flag in your pic kinda took a beating. Those are some pretty pics of the flowers.

Thanks for sharing.

Ray
