Drove up to my chosen spot for the days metal detecting and it was already occupied. :D

I think I was more surprised than they. They had their fans to me when I drove up and when they turned around they gave me a good look, decided I was no threat, and went right back to strutting. There was six hens in the food plot with them so I guess they didn't want to act like chickens. :tongue3:

After about an hour they finaly fed out of the plot and I got on with my business.

Gotta get ready for Spring turkey hunt! I did some doctoring on your pic. Hope you don't mind. I'll remove it if you want.

Are those Eastern's? We got Meriams and some Rio Grands (way down south) out here. But our seasons are bit late I think. But still callable.
Nice picture.

Yes, it was one of many Alaska fishing trips. And now, after looking at RPG's pics, I'm looking forward to a turkey hunt!

Good luck on the hunt. I used to hunt them religiously. Haven't done so in years. Nothing beats some fried turkey breast, cream potatoes and gravy, biscuits and all the fixins.

Well.....maybe fish does. I've never had halibut but I love catfish, bass, bream, stripers,...you get the picture. :D
