$5 million in gold was taken out of this gulch by 1865. I wondered if anybody has any ideas on the small building. I figure it might have been used to store food, with the iron grates on the door and windows a deterrent to bears, as there are a lot up here. It hasn't seen any use in a long time, whereas the cabin and outhouse have until the last few years.

Didn't do any detecting there but I made it out to Half-Moon Gulch today where the ground wasn't too frozen yet. Only found more bullets, mostly all old round balls.
