Thanks Sackett, I lived away for three years in the Army, & one in Ca, but I was always drawn back to the Mts.

Yep, that's the drive in the pic, the taller Mountain. :icon_sunny:

Pretty country. Sounds like it has a lot of interesting history as well.

Thanks, it has lot's of History, Mound builders, Spanish explorers, Indian Territory, land runs, Outlaws, moonshiners, etc.......

The Ouachita hiking trail runs along the mts from Ok to Ar, plus equestrian trails all around this area.

I meant to tell about when we lived in Apache jct Ariz . when the kids were small we went prospecting in the goldfield mts walked on the old military trail. it was great.
