During the violent Tornado outbreaks of the last few days, we narrowely missed being hit, there were roofs damaged, trees down, power off, & these large oaks blew down 300 yrs from our house.
Our thoughts & prayers go out to all the victims & their families who were affected by these storms across the Country.
The bases of the trees are about eight feet tall.

No one in our area, but others killed in different places in Ok.
I detected around these old trees in a previous post (Big Oaks & Duck tracks), found a few relics.

Thanks, Fossis............

Watched that for a long time on the Weather Channel and it looked pretty rough. All the relatives squeaked through this time, far as I know. Get any rain out of the deal? My son said they haven't even had to mow the park in western Oklahoma so far this year, and the henbit is dyin from lack of moisture. I never remember that happenin, cause that's a pretty tough little weed. Maybe this was just y'all's Easter spell and that's the end of it for a while?

The up side was we got some 'much needed rain', our grass was growing ever so slow, but now it should take off.
The ranchers in Western Ok have been advertising for hay, they fed all of theirs during the blizzard, & now it's too dry for the grass to grow, & Texas is having it rough with drought & fires.

It sure was a 'bad night', glad you didn't get any damage, it's still raging in the East.
