    Todays birds

Just different lighting. Little Nuthatch and a Chickadee. The doves were hard to get any detail. Sitting in the shade with sunny snowy background.

Ron - Outstanding photos once again.

I'm starting to sound like a broken record with that statement and your photos.

Beautiful shots! I love the call of the mourning doves. The robins are showing up here now, won't be long before the hummers start arriving. Sometimes, it's the end of Feb when I see em, I report the 1st sighting to the hummer society.

I have lots of different species here. I don't know why, since I live in a deep snow area. I know the feeders attract a lot because food is harder to find in winter, but it's the same in summer except for a few more species that migrate.

Thanks, I'll try not to get carried away posting the same species too much. Have a few different kinds around that I haven't got a picture of lately.

Thank You RR, I'm not sure when the humming birds show up here. I used to feed them, but my cat was catching them so I stopped.

My neighbor shot my last two cats, so I might begin feeding the hummers again this spring.

    Thanks PB,

When I was younger, I used to hunt and eat a lot of of different game birds but not anymore. Have gotten lazy I guess. Never ate a dove, but I imagine it would take several of them to make a meal.
