A little bit of San Juan

The Wife and I got away for 8 days to a nice part of the world.Stayed at a Hostel in San Juan,6th floor,nothing special,a private room,shared bath,a NICE veranda with a cool tropical breeze at nite.Some real nice views from there.Ya gotta have a car if you want to see things see outside San Juan,we drove from one end of the Island to the other,what a trip,EVERYTHING is in Spanish,all the road signs looked the same,no GPS. We did find some nice Beaches though,not a whole lot of people,but more than helpful to direct the lost. Went to Fort El Morro,what an Awsome place,started in 1419,none of the monster cannons but the pivot tracks and cannonballs,man those were some biga$$ guns!Nice,but,glad I'm home. God Bless Chris

I love El Morro, Started building it in 1539 ,I love the old gate tower and the walk along the base of the wall is beautiful,did you go down to the dock area on the weekend? the bands play and food all over.La Placita is a sight to see also on the weekend. Glad you enjoyed it !

Allan,There is food all over ALL the time,El Morro is quite a site to see,we did a LOT of walking until we rented a car,so much more to see,and we did!!!We were told the fort was started in 1419,either way would I LOVE to detect that spot!!!!!!!!!

I'm just lookin, and thinkin I'm glad I wasn't the guy whose job was to load the cannon, especially if they expected rapid fire. You took a couple of nice night pics there.
