These are from a recent drive down hwy 395. The Owens valley is over a hundred miles long with the "White Mountains" on one side and the Sierra's on the other. These pictures are all of the sierra's since it was morning and the sun was at my back.

Is the fish creek hot springs still open to the public? I camped a whole winter there in the 70s. was an amazing experience.

Mamabear, I'm not sure where fish creek hot springs is located. I did see some signs for camping and swimming somewhere south of Bishop.

I just pass through the area once in a while.

Sure is!
Not a good place for peace and quiet any more. Too many off road clubs take over the place and make a mess.

Nice pics Ron!! All the scenery around here is full of smoke! A few weeks ago they had 44 closed between Redding and Susanville.

Thanks PB and all. I know what you mean PB, seems like there are fires going everywhere. I have been driving through a lot of smoke filled air lately. Fortunatly the air was clear in that part of the country that day.
