Well I like these things a lot, but I'd like to know how to raise them all year.

You need to live in a climate warmer than Wisconsin or build a greenhouse.

oh Mr. Tropi Tramp, I LOVE stuffed jalopy peppers! Glad you got them to enjoy!
With either creme cheese & chives, or
sausage and parmasuan cheese.
I know you ain't eating the seeds, right?

Guys(Baspinall and Bum Luck), since you don't know who I am, I feel fairly safe talking about this. Do you know that down here near the Mexican border, yes, jalapenos grow year around AND there are lots of things done with them. Nearly every fast food place here sells them whole or sliced to put on your burger, sandwich or any other food. But the very best is when they are used fresh to make all types of salsa. My favorite is when they(mexican restaurants) take fresh ones, roast them, peel the outside skin off and then make a dark rich spicy wonderful salsa that is hot and great on everything. And yes, we eat the seeds, but you don't have to. Yes, we see them with cream cheese, but they are just good with everything. So many uses, so little time. Stuff them with meat, cheese, veggies, deep fry them with that stuff inside, the list just goes on and on. Throw them in chili, in stew, in meatloaf, in veggies(fresh corn). Everything. Jalapeno tamales at Christmas. You should taste mango salsa or good pico de gallo. If you want recipes watch Rick Bayless on the learning channel. His show is called Mexico, One Plate At a Time. He has two mexican restaurants in Chicago(I think), one simple and cheap and one very upscale. Well, got to go now. I think I'll cruise over to the all night taco place(taqueria) and get some flour tortilla tacos with carne asada/guisada and salsa. Oh, and don't let Don Jose talk you into trying habanero or chile petin peppers. They are anglo killers, trust me.

I like a little jalapeno every now and then. Put them on just about everything.

Depending on what kind of smoothie, but a pepper has been know to end up in a few.

Chisos hit it just about dead on.

Now if only chickens would lay eggs with chopped peppers already in them.

yup, love the peppers!

My granddaughter makes some killer poppers. They get wrapped with thick-sliced bacon and then baked. She leaves a small amount of seeds in some for those of us that like a little "bite". :)
