Hahahaha!! :) Thanks mamabear.

"Cold"?...Nah, just gotta wear proper clothes...(moose hide coats & polar bear pants!) hahaha!! ;)

"Nuts"?...maybe!...I really should stop lookin for 'snowsnakes & alligators'!! hahahaha!! ;)

Actually...Looking on the map of this Great North American Continent of Ours :) I believe alot of the U.S. states on the northern border from The Atlantic to The Pacific are farther north than me!! ;)

What is your favorite wood for grilling over? I've used hickory, apple, pecan and mesquite. All good, but just a little different.

I really like to start with Maple wood then add Apple for the cooking coal base...but for my 'kicker' at the end I smoke everything with some wet/punky Cherrywood for an excellent sweet/smoke flavor (meat especially!) Yum-Yum ;)
Can't buy that Flavor in a store or restaurant!!!! :)

There is nothing better than a blazing fire in a pit with good friends and rum, remembering last season, and planning this season.
Here in VT. today we are that wet big flaked snow thatwe call sugar snow. The maples are tapped and should be running today or tomorrow when the temps. hit 40. The first real sigh of spring!

Easter Weekend Dinner.
Potatoes, carrots, sweet onion, red & green peppers and mushrooms. All sliced & diced bite size chunks, covered with Veggie seasoning & 3 slabs of butter, laid on double layer (top and bottom) of tinfoil..(tightly folded seams).
Beef sirloin and thick Pork steak spiced with Montreal steak spice, salt and pepper...(leave the fat on for flavor) ;)

Oh yeah!...AND...a fire with maple and apple wood...cherrywood smoke for 'the kicker' at the end! Yum-Yum!
