I took a visit last Friday up by Idaho Springs Colorado. I sure like these old trains.

I grew up in a little Oklahoma town along the Rock Island Line and we had a Depot. (Sure fire guarantee for a bright and prosperous future for early statehood towns, supposedly) My 4th grade teacher told us all we should sometime go down and buy a ticket and ride to El Reno and back (cost: 75 cents) as some day soon in our lifetimes the passenger trains would be gone. Yeah right, we thought. Turns out she was wrong about us livin on the moon and robots doin all our work in the future but she was dead on about the railroad. Here in the future the depot's gone just like me and just like me the Rock Island Line don't run through that dried up little western Oklahoma town no more.
