This is one of the Cascade volcanos, in northwest Washington. The feature on the left is the old caldaria, Black Butte. It's about 13 miles of good forest road to get this view. Black Butte is 8200', Mt Baker is 10871' (not to put to fine a point on it,lol) I took the picture from forest road 12 at about 2200' elevation.
By the way if you double click the picture it orients the mountain, can anyone tell me how to post it that way from an iPad?
All the Best,
John
