Fall color at Gypsum, CO today
This is where my clock ran out last night, and I'm stuck here for the day. Law requires me to stay here 'til 5:42 tomorrow morning.
It's been cloudy and raining here off and on all day, but I went for a walk down a gravel road by the river and tried a few shots anyway

I haven't hit any snow yet, but did see some on the peaks this morning. Seems to be clearing off now, and hope it stops. I'll be coming your way in the morning. Have to deliver in Denver.

Beautiful site! So often the aspens trees in mountain states get all the fall color credit, but the willows, cottonwoods and many other shrub plants also deserve some recognition just the same. Thanks for giving them that credit. I guess the Eisenhower tunnel was mess tonight and they closed it because of accidents for some time due to snow. It's cool and windy down here on the front range tonight and feeling a bit like winter time. The weather mans says it will move out pretty quick though.

Hello,
Those are some fine pictures you have there. Are the bright yellow trees Poplars? The maples here are about done but the oaks are coming on now. I really enjoy the fall colors.....just not what comes next!
Thanks for posting,

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave in a well preserved body, But rather to slide in sideways, Totally wore out shouting, Holy ****...What a ride!

Thanks Sidevalve45 , they are cottonwood tree's. I travel around quite a bit and get to see the change in different climates. In some of the southwest states, they are just beginning to turn.
Thanks Everyone for your input.

Wow did those pictures make me miss home! I'm probably not anywhere from where you are but just the change of fall in the river made me kind of homesick.

Sure hope it heads this way. I'd love to have a real winter. You are lucky...
