My back yard is being overrun by these flowers.

I believe they are a rose. They only last about three weeks and then die. All of them come out at once. Each year more and more grow in the back yard.

Looks very similar to a Van Fleet rose...an old variety. I've got 2 bushes and they can literally take over; they bloom in late spring, early summer. for about 3 weeks and then just grow some more the rest of the year. They also send up shoots from an extensive root system, almost like the dreaded briar patch!

Thanks everyone I have to tell you two years ago I chopped them to the ground and sprayed vegitation killer on them. They came back better than ever. So I let them do there own thing. GH you can have all you want. Just don't try to kill them they don't like that and will GROW LIKE MAD!! WATCH OUT.
