My back yard is being overrun by these flowers.

I believe they are a rose. They only last about three weeks and then die. All of them come out at once. Each year more and more grow in the back yard. PICT0001.JPG

Looks very similar to a Van Fleet rose...an old variety. I've got 2 bushes and they can literally take over; they bloom in late spring, early summer. for about 3 weeks and then just grow some more the rest of the year. They also send up shoots from an extensive root system, almost like the dreaded briar patch!

Just beautiful....your flowers can run all over my yard anytime they want. As a matter of fact I think I will bring some roots back home from you when I visit you in October...... :)

Thanks everyone I have to tell you two years ago I chopped them to the ground and sprayed vegitation killer on them. They came back better than ever. So I let them do there own thing. ;D GH you can have all you want. Just don't try to kill them they don't like that and will GROW LIKE MAD!! WATCH OUT.
