Hundreds waited in line outside the Grantsburg High School in northwestern Wisconsin on Saturday to pay their respects to the family of a Wisconsin marine who was among those killed in the Tennessee reserve shooting.
People stood silent as the funeral procession carrying Sgt. Carson Holmquist’s body arrived at the Grantsburg High School. As a dozen members of an honor guard saluted, Marines carried his coffin into the school where community members paid their respects.
I won't get political, but man, look at all those American flags along the procession route! Cool. And kinda hard to keep a dry eye when you see that. Good post.
WT, I agree that there is no rational explanation for this. As an American, there is only one way to feel about this...this country has lost a brave, selfless man to something we can never understand. He is a hero in the truest sense of the word and shall forever be remembered as such. God bless our heroes!
