Beautiful pics, FF. Here, the grass is just now beginning to grow. Got a few (VERY few!) small groundcover-type patches of wildflowers peeking up, but nothing much yet.

I call the purple one "Pokie" and the red one hasn't been named yet but the wife is leaning towards "isn't that pretty"!:laughing7: I will look and see if I can find the tags that came with them and let you know. We bought them at Lowe's last week. The red one is a type of salvia I think.

Pokie is Liatris flutter. Still working on the red one. It might be a sage instead of Salvia.

I am not 100% positive but the red one is Salvia coccinea I think. If you want something that will really attract hummingbirds then "black and blue salvia" is the plant to buy. Salvia guaranitica is it's botanical name. The hummers ignore our feeders when this stuff is in bloom. It blooms all summer and comes back every year. It also spreads quickly so give it a lot of room or dig up the off shoots and plant them in another spot.

Another beautiful flower garden! :icon_thumleft: I believe we still have another three to four weeks before the lilly's and iris's are ready to bloom.

There was a reason I took these pictures right at dark. It was easier to block out the weeds! This has been the worst year for weeds that I can remember and I can remember many, many springs!

Our daylilies are just starting to bud. It won't be long before the heat takes its toll on the flowers.

The red flower is called Pineapple sage (Salvia elegans). This is the first year we have planted it. Hopefully the hummers will take to it as well as they do the Black and Blue Salvia. I found the baby turtle when I was looking for the plant tags that I usually put under the pine straw. I relocated him to a spot in my yard that would be safe from my dog.

No way I improved God's work. I just thank Him for the ability to change it a little.
