Hand held, going to try tripod the 14th full moon over the river.

I missed the post where you mentioned your new camera...what will you
be shooting the pic with?

Getting a single-frame shot of the Moon + landscape is tough to do. Problem
is the Moon is bright as can be, so your shooting it at something like f4 and
1/500th of a second at ISO 400, but a decent shot of the landscape will need
something like 15 seconds at ISO 400 and f2.8 (or wide open..whatever that is).

Ansel Adams took one of the most famous Moon/landscape shots ever, and
there was huge discussion on how he pulled it off, as both the Moon and
town are in focus. Truth was, he was a master in the dark room, and he
used a red filter to get the black/white shot.

Very nice pic worldtaker!
Is the moon considered a "world" that "you" took? Lol

Nice pic. I think I read somewhere the moon is the single most photographed thing.

I believe the Kardashians taking all the selfies of themselves to post on every facet of social media has now surpassed photos taken of the Moon.

Looks like a nice camera! My little Canon only has a 30X zoom. Would be nice to have 60X with our open spaces.
