Nice photo. Crisp, clear and nice color. What kind of camera are you using?

Thanks,
SV

Great photo, Ron! I've never seen that species here in Idaho.
Thanks junkdigger,

They like marshy area's, and we only have them here in spring and mid summer.

Hi SV,

I use a Canon 300 digital Rebel. I only have two lenses at the time, just the 18-55 kit lens that came with the camera, and a Canon 400mm 5.6L lens that I use for birds and wildlife. (This was taken with the 400mm)

Thanks for your comments,

Ron

Excellent shot, Ron. Those are pretty birds, never seen any like em, just those red-winged ones.

Thanks for the pictures. First the hawks and now the Yellow headed Blackbirds. I also have a Canon Digital Rebel. I have four lenses and thought that was enough. Now all because of you, I need a 400mm 5.6L lens. The last lens that I purchased was a 100 mm macro. I think I would get more use from the telephoto than the macro.

After viewing the hawk pictures, I was thinking about the 400 mm. Now the Yellow Headed Blackbirds pushed me over the edge. Just gotta have one. If you don't mind, I'll just tell the wife it's all Your fault.

Great Pictures. Keep em commin.

Thanks Bob ;D

Yes this lens want thing can be addictive, I want two more myself....Or maybe three, and maybe update my camera. ::)

I also use a Tamron 1.4 teleconverter with the 400mm sometimes, from what I can tell it doesn't diminish image quality, but auto focus with the TC is very slow.

Maybe I will post some more birds and wildlife taken with this lens.

Thanks for your comments,

Ron
