Stopped and took some snapshots in Goldfield, NV. Yesterday, even though it was a cold, cloudy, windy day....... Over processed the pics because of the drab lighting conditions.

The hotel looks like it was a fancy place at one time......I took a few more that I might work on and post later.

Awesome. Love the old shack and background horizon of pic 3. I drove through there once or twice I recall. Your pictures look like your using a large format camera.

Goldfield's one of my favorite places in Nevada...right along with
Beatty, Tonopah and Austin.

Whole lotta gold came out of Goldfield, and the town has quite a rich
history. Just watched a TV special about one of the hardrock mines that
they may reopen once they get it safe.

Great images Ron...that 3rd one down is superb, and would look great
printed on canvas and framed!

Thanks Grant, I used a full frame Canon 5D Mark III with a 24-105 lens.

They look great. maybe in the future the full frame cameras will come down some and I'll venture to get one.

I use to call on a mine in Beatty owed by LAC Minerals and way back was a mine I'd see south of Austin called Nevada Gold Fields in the little town of Kingston.

Great pics, Ron, as usual. I've always liked Goldfield. Every time I go through there, I remember that Brad Dexter, who played Harry Luck in the Magnificent Seven, was born there.

Thanks Jim, That's an interesting bit of info. I always liked that movie. I didn't realize how many folks lived ther at one time until I looked it up.
