Well I think winter is getting closer to the end when I see the red wing black birds staking claim on the many cattail marshes around and these cone head with red eyes, what ever they are? ducks are again back. I took the dog for a walk around a little lake near by as it was so nice. Sorry to see all the bad weather going on in the east. I guess by next Sunday we'll see some rain that'll turn to snow, so we'er not out of it yet either.

I'd say they are scoping out territory for the spring hatch.

GOD Bless

Chris
I believe they are. This is the first I noticed them gathering in the cat tails. Soon they'll all be singing and then when the eggs hatch they'll attack ya sometimes when you get to close. Once on the tv news they reported on a really aggressive redwring black bird in a marsh next to a golf course. Anyone who came to close to the marsh got buzz bombed.
