Camped along here at the Horse Thief Campground for 3 nights this week. I've camped here for several years now as it's out of the way, you always can find a spot, no water, no electric, but it does have bathrooms so the wife is slightly happy, and only 15 bucks a night. Unfortunately it's getting busier every year, so maybe I'll move farther down the road into the back country in the coming years.

Late fall is a good time to hit southern Utah. It's really the only time I can visit the area. Motels cost to much during season, if even you can find one.

Yeah they told me April til September was their busy season there, and ours here is kinda like September til April, whenever the snow comes. But they're getting just like us, as the local powers keep comin up with ways to promote the 'off seasons'. Lots and lots of people down there, more than I used to see at this time of year. I saw cars backed up for about a half mile waitin to get into Arches NP. Industrial tourism in action I guess.
