Jeffery Squirrel and Chipmunks (Added Some Golden Mantels )

I have called these pine squirrels for as long as I can remember, but I looked it up on line, and found out it's a Jeffery Squirrel. They are about half the size of the eastern fox squirrel.

I like the the little squirrel, but the Chipmunks are as prolific as rats, and get into everything.

I think of my military travels & always wanted to befriend a chipmunk. I think they're the cutest lil things. I do remember being in Alpena, MI & seeing a badger...end of story.

I love your squirrel and Chippie photos. When we lived in Washington State back in the late 60's, our first pet was a Chipmunk that we bought in a pet store, it was the cutest pet, running all over our apartment.

Gee thanks for the reminder those lil guys drive our dogs nuts.
They sit right outside of the fence and yell at the dogs. Great shots though !!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Bob,

Yes the Jeffery squirrel was with the 400mm 5.6L and the rest were taken with the same lens with a Tamron 1.4 teleconverter. It gives more reach but is very slow to auto focus.
