This deer was feeding as I drove down into the meadows,didn't see the one to the right till I uploaded pics.

I stopped the tractor and chased this killdeer chick down,I would say it hatched hours before..

This is as close as I have ever been to the parent..

Putting equipment away I looked down and saw this little guy poking his head out of a hole..

Didn't see her anywhere,I saw the young one flapping it's wings,won't be long now for some good shots of her.
Usually when I see a Killdeer chick, there's an adult trying to keep your attention away from it by lots of noise and playing as if it wounded.
