Took these today as I went for a bike ride. Today was overcast sky's all day and not hot at all, so I went for a pretty long ride around the area. I spotted an odd looking stump with ears at base of a big cottonwood out in a pasture. I put a yellow X on this stump to the right of this cottonwood, so you can see how well this little pocket sized Panasonic ZS40 camera I have can zoom in on a subject.

Your steer picture looks more like all boy to me. Masculine head, and the hangy down things aren't as big as they should be, but something is there, so I'm thinking perhaps "proud cut, or they used an elastrator and missed one. Anyhow, the only reason I'm pointing this out is he is a long horn, and might have a little more of a temper than the average steer.

He seemed a bit bored and a little miserable as there where many deer fly harassing him. There's definitely an increase of those bugger's this year and one drew blood out of me.
