Today was pretty nice, so I thought I'd take the dogs for a stroll around a lake near by. I saw this double crested cormorant stretching it's wings out on this solar powered thing in the lake. Not sure what that device does, but it powers a vertical shaft that rotates slowly. I think it maybe oxygenates the lake or something? The lake is a fresh water supply for the town of Erie, Colorado. Another good sign the winters coming to a close is the painted turtle are now out of hibernation and catching some warmth from the sun.
